The first step in becoming a member is to find a sponsor. The easiest way to find a sponsor is to attend a public event such as the Queen of Hearts drawing every Wednesday at 7PM. The club also holds several events throughout the year that are open to the public. Come by and introduce your self.
A person interested in becoming a member shall fill out an application and their sponsor will bring the application to a Board of Directors meeting to be discussed and voted for approval. If the BOD approves the application it will be brought to the Full Membership at the next Regular Club Meeting. This will be done without the applicant present. Once approved by the membership, you will become a Probationary Associate member for 12 months. Application requires submission of $150 ($50 initiation fee, $100 annual dues). Subsequent dues are currently $100 per year.
As an Associate Member:
- You can attend ALL meetings
- Cannot vote until you become a full member
- Must serve a 1 year probationary period and log with the BOD at least 10 hours of work for the Club AND attend at least 2 monthly meetings.
- Make an effort to give the membership the opportunity to get to know them before they come up for a full membership vote.
After a minimum of 12 months and all requirements have been met, the Associate Member will be brought forward for a vote to become a Full Member at a Regular Meeting.
